Practice Survey

As a Practice, we are always keen to receive feedback from our patients and people who access our services. In the past we have received this feedback by completing a Practice Survey. The survey asked patients to rate the Practice in several key areas and we then reviewed the feedback to see how our services could be improved or developed.

2013/2014

For the 2013/14 NHS Year, we also worked with our Patient Participation Group to develop a Patient Survey. Our new survey was based on our 2012/13 survey; we ensured that all the important areas were retained following feedback form our Patient Participation Group.

Our survey ran between mid September 2013 and mid December 2013 and the Patient Participation Group attended the Practice Flu Clinic and Baby Clinics to ensure that the Survey was completed by a wide representation of patients and also approached patients within the Practice to seek their views and feedback.

The completed surveys were then collated and analysed and a report detailing the feedback for each question was produced. We discussed the outcomes of the Practice Survey with our Patient Participation Group at our meeting on 12 March 2014. At that meeting we reviewed and discussed the survey results and the feedback comments provided and agreed an Action Plan on how we could move the key points forward.

 2011/12

For the 2011/12 NHS year, the process changed slightly and we worked with our Patient Participation Group to design and develop a new survey that would collect feedback from our patients in several key areas. These key areas included focus areas highlighted by the Practice and focus areas highlighted to us by the Patient Participation Group.

Our survey was ready in September 2011 and our Patient Participation Group supported the Practice in collecting 456 completed surveys. The survey ran between 11 September 2011 and 11 January 2012 and the Patient Participation Group attended the Whittlesey Festival, the Practice Flu Clinic, the Practice Baby Clinic to ensure that the Survey was completed by a wide representation of patients and also approached patients within the Practice to seek their views and feedback.

The completed surveys were then collated and analysed and a report detailing the feedback for each question was produced. We discussed the outcomes of the Practice Survey with our Patient Participation Group at our meeting on 7 February 2012. At that meeting we reviewed and discussed the survey results and the feedback comments provided and agreed an Action Plan on how we could move the key points forward.

 2012/13

For the 2012/13 NHS Year, we also worked with our Patient Participation Group to develop a Patient Survey.  Our new survey was based on our 2011/12 survey but was slightly shorter and easier to complete following feedback from our patients.  We ensured that all the important areas were retained and included a couple of new ones, while also making sure that we could extract comparable data to identify the progress we have made.

Our survey ran between 20 October 2012 and 31 January 2013 and the Patient Participation Group attended the Practice Flu Clinic and Baby Clinics to ensure that the Survey was completed by a wide representation of patients and also approached patients within the Practice to seek their views and feedback.

The completed surveys were then collated and analysed and a report detailing the feedback for each question was produced. We discussed the outcomes of the Practice Survey with our Patient Participation Group at our meeting on 18 March 2013. At that meeting we reviewed and discussed the survey results and the feedback comments provided and agreed an Action Plan on how we could move the key points forward.
